Life is full of ups and downs. There are times it can feel like an endless uphill battle with little reprieve.

Maybe you are noticing an increase in feeling anxious, depressed, stressed or overwhelmed. Perhaps you are having issues at work, your relationships, low self esteem or the loss of a loved one.

If you have experienced childhood or adult trauma(s) there may be immensely painful memories, flashbacks or nightmares disrupting your life, even many years after the event. Maybe it’s more complex and you have a Personality or Dissociative Disorder.

Or possibly you don’t know what’s wrong you just feel off.

Whatever difficulties you are facing you are not alone. My name is Julia Donald and I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT). I am here to listen, support and guide you. Please click here to learn more about CBT and click here to learn more about me.

During the therapeutic process you learn new insights about yourself, your relationships and your life. You change and evolve as a person, confronting issues you once didn’t feel able to, in a confidential, supported, safe environment. You bridge the gap between the life you have now and the life you want.

A happy, fulfilling life doesn’t happen by accident. Don’t wait until you have regrets, contact me to get help.

I am accredited by the BABCP as a CBT Psychotherapist and I have completed specialised Psychotherapy training accredited by ACTO in working with clients online and over the phone. I am also a guest lecturer at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) and the University of the West of Scotland (UWS).

I work exclusively online using Zoom or over the telephone.

Online Psychotherapy has many benefits:

  • No commute time travelling to and from the session.
  • No long distances to travel to the session.
  • No commute expenses to travel to the session.
  • More flexibility for session times.
  • Sessions are done in the client’s preferred location.
  • Clients can feel more at ease opening up in an environment they are familiar with.
  • Clients often feel more able bringing up sensitive topics when talking remotely which they would be reluctant to discuss face to face. This makes Psychotherapy more clinically efficacious providing better results.
  • If you need to travel or fit sessions round appointments or childcare sessions can be done anywhere you wish as long as you are safe and happy to talk.

For working online you will need:

  • A phone/tablet/laptop/computer
  • A good wifi connection
  • Download Zoom which is a free, secure and easy to use online platform.
  • A private, safe place to sit and get comfortable.

Therapy sessions are done remotely from my therapy room located in a peaceful, tranquil and private setting in Inverness.
